I’ve been quieter on here lately. Not for any dramatic reason, just life, motherhood, and business all shifting at once, and me trying to keep up with it. I think it’s what happens when you’ve had to step in and out of yourself for a while. Running a business in waves. Being “on” even when you’re exhausted. Trying to show up as a partner while also figuring out who you are becoming. It creates this strange echo where nothing feels solid, even when you’re doing your best. There are seasons where confidence comes easily… and seasons where you feel a little unsure in every role you hold. I’m somewhere in that in-between right now. But what I keep reminding myself is this: 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘵𝘩 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘥. 𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯. I’m still creating. Still learning. Still showing up for the people I love, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘧 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 a little softer than usual. I’m letting myself be in this in-between season: a photographer relearning her voice, a mom doing her best, a woman trying to hold her family and herself at the same time. This season is unsteady, demanding, and heavier than usual. But it’s also beautiful. Even in the exhaustion, even in the doubt, there are little moments that remind me why I keep showing up: the laughter of my kids, the soft light hitting a familiar corner of home, the way my work still has the power to make someone pause and feel. Here’s a little glimpse from a session that reminded me: even in heavier, quieter seasons, there’s still connection, joy, and magic to be found in relationships, in moments shared, and in the work I love creating.
